In the spirit of the holidays I thought I'd give you all something to support and love as much as I do. A dear friend, Yasmine Tatiana is currently in production with her studio Tollex, to produce an indy film that will hit festivals in the coming year. All she needs is a bit of funding to kick the whole thing off, and for us that means spreading the word so a dream can become reality. With that in mind, feel free to check out her studio on YouTube
Also, you can find her Indiegogo here, Dreamers
I know money is tight for most, but if you're a studio looking to back something or just another lover of the arts. Please, please, please, just spread the word. The more eyes watching, and the more people talking the better.

BlueBerryStarBubbles on DA
BlueBerryStarBubbles is the home of a fantastic make up artist with a real talent for painting a picture. *wink, wink* This up and coming artist is based out of New Zealand and has been pursuing the arts since beginning to dabble in them during her years of High school. She’s a class of talent that I feel should have the exposure and a chance to shine. She’s played with Disney characters, scenes as well as some other main stream imagery to designs of her own. She show cases a unique style and a talent for something I imagine is well sought out in the entertainment industry. If Deviantart isn’t your scene you can also find video’s of her artistic exploits, aka face paint tutorials @ youtube

Botanicula
Botanicula is a
point and click style graphic adventure with heavy emphasis on puzzle
solving. It was created by JaromÃr
Plachý and Amanita Design. If there’s
one thing that instantly comes to mind with this game is the shear creativity.
From beginning to end the game never fails to amaze with its imaginative
visuals and satisfying puzzles.
Throughout
the game you’ll realize there is no spoken or written dialogue, yet the plot is
quite easy to follow. The official website describes the plot as such: “It's
about a bunch of five friends - little tree creatures who set out for a journey
to save the last seed from their home tree which is infested by evil parasites.” That about sums it up.
This
game is an orgasm to the senses. It is visually attractive and the soundtrack
(provided by Czech band DVA) sets the mood spectacularly. Be prepared for a
very original presentation when you pick up this game.
All in
all, the game is brilliant and well worth checking out. Whether you’re a casual
gamer or a hardcore gamer looking for something different, this game is
appropriate. That goes double if you’re a fan of puzzlers or point ‘n clicks.
Make sure to check out Botanicula and
any other work from Amanita, these guys are seriously talented.
